Focus and Scope
Indo African Journal for resources management and planning is a journal dedicated to the publication of research which develops geographic approaches to resolve human problems that have a spatial dimension. These problems may be linked to the assessment, management and allocation of the physical and human resources of India and Africa.
Papers will be invited on any theme involving the application of geographical theory and methodology in the resolution of human problems. This may include papers on the techniques, problems and results of environmental and social research, as well as those concerned with the principles, policies and consequences of resource management and allocation. Articles must be refereed before publication.
University and departmental libraries (Geography, Management studies, Economics, Environmental studies, Ecology and Geology etc.); research institutes and societies; state and international planning departments and agencies; geological and mineral exploration companies; parliamentary and administrative bodies; academics and postgraduate students.

Author Guidelines
Names
First authorI, second author

Title of the paper should be 22 pt Times New Roman bold. Author name, organization and email (for corresponding author) should be in 9 pt
Arial italic. Roman characters I, II should be superscript after author’s name and the same character should appear before the respective author’s organization. Before and after spacing in the title and author name should be six and it should be zero between the author and organization name with centered single column format.
Author’s name should not contain any prefix or suffix except the full name. Author name should start with the first name, followed by middle name and last name. (e.g. A. G. Bekham)
ABSTRACT: This should be in 10 pt Times new Roman bold.
KEYWORDS: Minimum three and maximum six key words are permitted.
1. PAGE LAYOUT: An A4 size paper is accepted for ready publication with a one column format and the margins of the paper should be formatted as:
Top: 0.8″
Bottom: 0.3″
Left and Right: 0.5″
2. HEADING STYLE: Four levels of the headings are permitted. All the heading words should be in the capital bold, in 11 pt Times New
Roman font followed by colon e.g.

3. TEXT: All text should be in Times New Roman with 11 pt font and should start from the respective heading. Single line spacing between text should be used. Line spacing between two paragraphs is not permitted. New paragraph should start with one indent. One line spacing is required before any heading.
4. TABLES AND FIGURES: The size of all figures and tables should be formatted either within the width or less than one column.
Tables and figures should be placed at their respective places. All colored and black and white figures should not be less than 300dpi. All figures and tables should be centered at their respective places. Table and figure number should be in upper case Roman numbers (e.g. I, II) and be placed before the caption of the concerned table and figure. Source (if needed) may also be given along with caption. Caption should be in Times New Roman 9 pt. Single line caption should be centered and more than a line caption should be justified.
All pages should be numbered at the center of the bottom of the page and no header and footer is permitted.
5. REFERENCES: All references should be in Arial 9 pt. References should be numbered in the small brackets and the corresponding number is to be used within the text while referring to the author e.g. (1). Two and more references should be separated by comma and be written as [(1), (2)] [(3)-(6)].
Below are the examples for different categories of the reference items:

(1) Last name, first name, year, paper title in italic, name of the journal, vol. no, page no.
FOR CONFERENCE PAPER
(2) Last name, first name, middle name, year, paper tile in italic, name of the conference, duration, conference location, page no.
FOR BOOK
(3) Last name, first name, middle name, year, book title in italic, publisher, Edition no, page. no.
FOR THESIS
(6) Last name, first name, middle name, year, thesis title in italic, name of the institute, page. no.
FOR REPORT
(4) Last name, first name, middle name, year, report title in italic, name of the institute, publisher (if any), page no.
FOR WEB
(5) Last name, first name, middle name, year, title in italic, (URL), access date
PAPER STRUCTURE: A paper should contain the following headings:
- ABSTRACT: (This section should contain total summary of the paper, no subsections are allowed)
- INTRODUCTION: (This section should contain introduction related to the manuscript, subsections are allowed)
- RESEARCH AREA: (If applicable, this section should state clearly the specific research area, subsections are allowed)
- METHODOLOGY: (This section should describe the methodology adopted, subsections are allowed)
- RESULTS: (This section should contain the outcome of the research, subsections are allowed)
- CONCLUSION: (This section should clearly state the conclusions of the study)
- ACKNOWLEDGEMENT (IF ANY): This section contains the acknowledgement for anything/anybody, e.g. Research sponsoring agency, assistance of any person/organization etc.

Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission’s compliance with all the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
2. The submission file is in OpenOffice Word document file format.
3. All manuscript should strictly follow the IAJRMP paper format and reference format.
4. Author needs to provide the name of the three potential reviewers and full details with email id and need to be uploaded at the end of the submission process.
5. All figures and tables should be places at the end of the manuscript using separate paper and its reference should be available in the text.
6. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
